Mitaco Pty Ltd is based in North Brisbane Queensland and is a family owned and operated business and supplies Materials Handling Products direct to private consumers as well as small, medium and large companies throughout Australia, across a variety of industries.  DC-Design was contracted to develop a new site that is simple and easy to navigate, showcases their products, and portrays the business as a simple low cost supplier to the Australian market.

 

DC-Design setup a standard shopping cart eCommerce platform, that is fully automated end to end.  Custom email invoicing was included as was a lightbox feature for large product image views and a rotating image showcase. 

Mitaco were conscious about keeping costs down, and as such looked to have greater involvement in the development of their site.  After a training session and going away with a DC-Design how-to guide and the basic knowledge to add in products to the shopping cart they were able to save a lot of money by adding the products in themselves.  They also extended this knowledge to setting up custom shipping rates, after a brief phone tutorial followed by email direction, Mitaco successfully added in a large number of custom shipping rates due to the large weight scaling of products linked to the across Australia delivery.

This is a perfect example of a customer taking control of not only their budget, but also their website, allowing them to be confident in their ability to self manage and make changes to their product range on the fly with the need for us to administer changes.
